Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About the Application Process
1. What happens after I submit my application?
After submitting your application, our HR team will review it. If your qualifications meet our requirements, you will be contacted to schedule an interview at a time that works for you.

2. How will I know if I’ve been selected for an interview?
If you are selected for an interview, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your interview. Please ensure your contact information is up to date and check your email regularly.

3. What are the minimum qualifications for employment?
All applicants must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with children. If your resume does not reflect this experience, your application will not be considered.

4. Do I need to provide any documents with my application?
Yes, you will need to submit a resume and any additional documents requested during the process. Make sure all documents are clear, legible, and easy to read.

5. What background checks are required?
If selected to move forward with onboarding, you will undergo the following background checks:

Fingerprinting through FieldPrint (the $53 fee for fingerprinting is your responsibility).

6. When do I need to pay for the fingerprinting?
You will only be required to pay the $53 fingerprinting fee after your fingerprint registration has been approved and we confirm that we are moving forward with hiring you.

7. How long does the application process take?
The timeline can vary depending on the volume of applications and the completion of the required background checks. Our team will keep you informed throughout the process.

8. Will I receive instructions for onboarding?
Yes, if you are selected to move forward, you will receive an email with detailed next steps for onboarding. Be sure to read this email thoroughly, as it will address many common questions about the process.

9. Can I apply if I don’t live in one of the counties where Distinguished Journeys provides services?
Yes, you can apply, but please note that you may be required to travel to the applicable case’s location, which could include DFCS offices, client residences, schools, or other locations within the counties we serve.

10. How will I be notified if my application is not selected?
Due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to contact every applicant. If you do not hear from us within 30 days, please contact our HR Team at (404) 941-0240 for assistance.
